Joey: Clubs are a great thing, and arenas are a great
thing. They are kind of their own entities. You can't really pick one or the
other. Club gigs are more personal, and an arena gig is more Pedro: Lots of
people and lots of energy. But yeah, club shows, still, small and intense Joey:
I like them both.
Pedro: Inside Joey: Inside, air
condition.
Joey: Chordless. Because its like wired
mics I move around so much they have a tendency to wrap around my leg and
tripping. The chord pops out of the mic, so its just like forget it.
Joey: Everything. Pedro:
Everything. From Johnny Cash to The Roots to 36 Crazyfists to Revolution
Smile to dredg to Incubus, just a load of everything. Pretty much name it. We
found it, we got it.
Joey: We have some Paid, like Van
Wilder is a great one that we watch. We started watching the whole first and
second season of The Family Guy.
Pedro: Jerk off.
I'm kidding! Wait a minute.. am I?! Joey: *Laughter* Pedro: Actually
we just sit around and talk, bullshit, talk about the previous show, people we
meet. Talk about plans for the future and what we are going to do. We're just
trying to make sure we keep in touch with everything that's going on us. Any
upcoming shows, movie soundtracks, anything like that.
Pedro: It's
hard to say that... Joey: One place that comes to mind when people ask that
question is Lincoln, Nebraska. Pedro: Oh god yeah... Joey:
8,000 people just went ape shit.
Pedro:
The Norva Theatre In Norfolk, Virginia. Joey: Yeah, that's
a nice place.
Joey:
Stretch, warm-up. Pedro: Yeah, warm-up. I run.
Joey: At the beginning of a tour you kind of
do because you don't know the other bands your playing with to well, so after
the first day its like it's on. You might get a little, and nothing more. I'm
more nervous about flying then playing in front of people. Pedro:
*laughter*
Joey: Sometimes were zoning
out. Sometimes I'll be onstage singing and I'll be like "Oh dude I gotta go
do this tomorrow", "is there anything else" and what I need to do
tomorrow". What I start doing is I think about what I want to say when the
song is over.
Pedro: We've probably left
small stuff. Lots of shirts, a couple cell phones maybe. Joey: Couple of cell
phones... Pedro: *laughter*
Joey: No. It's kinda hard. Pedro:
Yeah, a little rough.
Joey: Energy Pedro: Energy, the flow of one song
into another, what's hitting... Joey: We follow by crowd
reaction, we see what songs hits with the crowd, then we kinda put them together
to make it work.
Pedro: Friends, family, TV,
relaxing. Joey: Yeah.
Joey: Definitely,
love hanging out and seeing what each city has to offer. Pedro: Definitely.
Pedro: They are always around. Joey: Where
there is a rock show, there is a groupie. One does not exist without the
other. Pedro: There is good with evil *laughter*
Joey:
Depends on the tour. The Disturbed tour was really really well, Ozzfest should
be well.
