Zero 7 Live

I think the most important talking point of the evening is not how f-cking cool these guys (and girl) live are, but where was “In The Waiting Line?”. They had to know someone wanted to hear it, especially all those Garden State Soundtrack buying people.

So I go to a lot of shows. Few keep my attention for too long, especially during boring instrumentals, but from front to back these guys (and girls) nailed it. They are just fun, from beginning to end. They know how to play their instruments well, and who can deny the insatiable energy and giggly fun Sia brings to any performance she is a part of, be it solo or with Zero 7. Even when not front and center she could be seen dancing in the back bringing an unstoppable energy and girly charm to the performance.

While the group haven’t taken off here as much as in other countries (go figure), a sold out performance at 930 Club is nothing to over look. With only two albums under their belt, the group were able to focus heavily on material from both that evening.

The Garden has been near the top of my play-list this year, so tracks like “Pageant Of The Bizarre”, “Futures” and more were all a pleasant experience. An added bonus was a slightly different take on Sia’s hit “Breath Me”, that any Sia or Six Feet Under fan like myself is enough to geek over.
