Check It: Klaxons

It’s been a short ride to the top courtesy of the always churning NME. Simian Mobile Disco’s James Ford helms the debut from this London three-piece that has kicked up quite a bit of dust in just a short amount of time.

They pass on Daft Punk-esque dance floor rhythms and instead opt for more guitar-oriented anthems more in line with the likes of the The Rapture, and create a frenetic funk that is irresistible to all but those dead on the inside. These nu-new wavers meet art rockers create an ensemble cast of songs that fit less in the ‘dance’ pigeon hole and instead are a combination of pop charm and experimental charisma that leave them deserving of recognition.

Their debut, Myths Of The Near Future, takes the group into a futuristic narrative in the most bombastic of ways… and leaves you waiting to hear just what direction they will take next.
