Another step to being current…
Nine Inch Nails - The Slip (Null Corporation)
I love Nine Inch Nails, and therefore this will be the least objective clipping possible. Whether it is the rock raucous found on “1,000,000″, the dance-floor ready “Discipline” or the other variants of music found on this disc. Running the gauntlet of musical styles from the abrasive to the serene, the amount of out put from Trent Reznor as of late has made him one of the coolest musicians around. Nowhere near ready to rest on his laurels, he may not be 100% all the time, but 95% is good enough to pass.
Scars On Broadway - Scars On Broadway (Interscope)
I’m glad I’ve trailed off a bit and left a few months for this album to grow on me. While the debate between the Serj Tankian solo album and this new effort from Daron and John continues on, there is enough quality content on here to give Serj a run for his money. Whether Serj or Scars, both albums are full of enough quality material to stand a lone and don’t really warrant much for comparison besides sales figures. The classic rock influence is ever present through the course of this disc and so is Daron’s trademark crazy and sometimes bizarre lyrics.
