September was a slow month. The only worthwhile release that happened across my lap was the precursor to The Cure’s new album. Remixes by the likes of Jared Leto (30 Seconds To Mars), Gerard Way (My Chemical Romance) & Julien-K, Pete Wentz & Patrick Stump (Fall Out Boy), Jade Puget (AFI) and a combination of all four in a super remix by the openers of their recent world tour, 65daysofstatic. All in all was an interesting take on the modern crop of artists taking their hand at stirring the pot of their idols work. At about $7, and clocking in at over 40 minutes, it is a relative bargain.
