February 09 Rehash
A sparse month offered up another verbal tongue lashing over dance-floor tunes in a way she only knows how.
Lily Allen - It’s Not Me It’s You (Capitol)
The U.K. tabloid fixture took the world by storm a few short years ago. Edgy and in-your-face ball busting that peaked it’s head around the corner is now standing in the middle of the doorway. Any track is well suited to be a hit-single. While some tracks already sound dated (anti-Bush number “Fuck You”) and others at time pushing the tolerance of pretentiousness (”The Fear” and “Not Fair” to start), there is no denying the dance-floor worthness of many of these tracks and Ms. Allen’s ability to stand out from the crowd.
