All Parallels Larry, Adam & Anthony
Conducted By: Corey Evans

With two successful EP's receiving rave reviews, already All Parallels have established themselves as one of the premier underground acts in the nation. The three of them recently took some time and answered some questions. Here are the results:

Only two EP’s under your belt and already the response has been quite impressive by many, how are you feeling with the response you’ve gotten so far?

Larry: The feedback has been really great so far. We worked hard and it feels good getting some recognition.

What comes next, another EP, a full album?

Larry: We’re always writing, we have enough material for two full length albums, but we’d like to put out a full length with some support behind it.

Musically, where does All Parallels draw their inspiration?

Anthony: All three of us come from hard rock/ heavy metal backgrounds, so there’s your foundation right there, but Larry pulls his melodies from everywhere.

Lyrically, where do you draw inspiration and influences?

Larry: I read a lot; I watch a lot of porn.

With a good amount of buzz and praise of many critics, have any labels shown any interest in the group?

Adam: Absolutely

Figuring out a sound, writing, recording, and the likes has happened rather quickly for the band; with being together for just over a year, has the spark and band chemistry lead things to just flow so easily for the trio?

Anthony: We’re not a want ad band. We all grew up together and we’ve been playing together off and on in various other bands since we were kids.

Adam: Our musical history and backgrounds are extremely similar.  This band line-up just made sense to the three of us.  To answer your question…yes, the band chemistry has lead things to flow smoothly and quickly.

Most musicians seem to be never satisfied with their work and always striving for that next level, while early in that career, as a singular musician outside of the group, what is that next level for you?

Adam: Well, right now I am more satisfied with the music I am playing than I have ever been in my life.
We just want to write and play the music we would like to hear. That’s what we do and we hope the people out there understand it and get off on it like we do.  The next level for me is to just work my ass off with my band mates in All Parallels and take this band to where it deserves to be.

Same question except in reference to All Parallels as a group, what is the next step for the group?

Larry: We’re enjoying what we’re doing right now, writing, recording and playing shows.  I’d like it to keep going but continuously on a larger scale.

You guys have established quite a reputation based on your live shows at home, do you have any plans in the recent future to take the show out on the road or still sticking close to home for now?

Adam: For right now, we’re pretty much bouncing back and forth between the New York area and the Boston area. We definitely want to tour in the near future.

For the next outing, do you plan on sticking to the arena rock mix that has been success so far or expanding the All Parallels sound into to something new?

Adam: We don’t follow any formula or plan what the next sound will be. The music comes out of us and it is what it is.

Taking a step back from looking into the future and a minute to look back at the humble beginnings, what is your musical background, any bands before this one?

Adam: Larry and I were in our first band together called Gridlock in like ’92. We were 14. It rocked. Larry was later bassist for the NYC hardcore band Train of Thought. Anthony was drummer for a band called Grandma Sugar when he lived in LA.  I have been in and out of bands over the past decade, but the only ones that stick out and mean anything are Gridlock and All Parallels.

In all the photos look like a pretty laid back bunch of guys, do you find image should play any role in a band? And finally, what has become a standard questions it seems in many interviews today, what is your take on current world events? Own a facemask?

Adam: Again, we try not to follow any formulas or be typical or predictable.  We are a unit and our image is what we are feeling that day. The music is our main image.  You can be beautiful, but once you get on stage in front of tons of people, you can’t hide behind your hair and nails. You have to know how to fucking deliver the goods.

As far as world events…we are routing for Ruben Studdard on American Idol.

Thanks for having us dude!!
